Niles man arrested for distributing meth

A Niles man was arrested after police located methamphetamine, marijuana and a loaded handgun at his residence.
Brian Paul Hollingsworth, 47, of Niles, was arrested March 23, after police obtained a search warrant for distributing crystal methamphetamine.
During the search warrant, detectives located approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $2,100.00, marijuana, and marijuana wax. Detectives also located and seized a loaded .45 caliber handgun, more than $1,000 in cash, and other drug trafficking evidence.

At the conclusion of the search warrant, detectives arrested Hollingsworth and he was lodged at the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
Hollingsworth was arraigned on his charges in Fifth District Court on March 24.
His bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Two other adult males and one adult female were located in the residence at the time of the search and were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Hollingsworth was charged with:
• Possession with intent to deliver crystal methamphetamine, second
• Possession with intent to deliver marijuana, second
• Maintaining a drug house
• Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
• Felon in possession of a firearm
The Niles Police Department was assisted by Michigan State Police, Berrien County Sheriff’s Department and SMCAS ambulance.
