Brandywine students display creations Tuesday: Slideshow

Student’s artwork was on display at Brandywine Elementary school Tuesday night for the third annual Brandywine Fine Arts Show.
Brandywine and Merritt Elementary School teacher Karon Miars coordinated the visual arts aspect of the show. Through a collaboration with various teachers and staff members, students got to display their artistic talents in various mediums.
The hallways were decorated with students’ drawings, paintings and other creations.
Students also put on a number of performances at 7 p.m. The band, choir and Brandywine Creek String Band performed in the school’s gym.
More than 100 people packed the school to see the work on display.
“We were very happy with the turn out,” Miars said. “It was really great to see that.”
