Nine local Girl Scouts sold 3,287 boxes of cookies, raising $13,248 for Girl Scouts of America and more than $2,100 for their troop. They were rewarded with a visit from local royalty at Ballard Elementary School Monday.
Representatives from the Blossomtime, Apple Festival and Pure Internationals Miss Michigan courts enjoyed teatime with the young ladies and talked to them about their journeys as queens.
