The Beckwith Theatre Company will present its first production of the 2017 season, “The Iliad, The Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less,” next month.

The theater will put on the show April 28 through 30 and May 5 through 7 at its playhouse, located at 100 New York Ave. Curtains rise at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday shows and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Tickets cost $10. People may call (269) 782-7653 to reserve seats.

In the play, written by Jay Hopkins and John Hunter, the actors (who play up to 32 characters each) try to beat the clock as they speed through love stories, epics, battles and more in this romp through Greek mythology.

An opening night wine reception will be sponsored by Vineyard 2121.

“The Iliad, The Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
