Edwardsburg Public Schools will present “Fiddler on the Roof” for its spring musical.

The musical, with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and based on the book by Joseph Stein, will be performed three times beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.

Additional performances will be at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Edwardsburg Performing Arts Center.

The cast includes Dylan Cour (Tevye), Haley Bumgarner (Golde), Emily Oppman (Tzeitel), Natalie Rarick (Hodel), Chloe Hanstra (Chava), Allison Rakowski (Shprintze) and Ceci Collins (Bielke).

Fiddler on the Roof is set in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia in 1905. It is based on Tevye and his daughters, along with other tales by Sholem Aleichem.

Fiddler on the Roof features many songs that people know by heart, including “Tradition,” “Matchmaker” and “If I Were a Rich Man.”

Tickets, which will be available at the door, are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
