Why the difference?

In 2016, armed members of the Bundy family and supporters occupied a national wildlife refuge to protest having to pay fees to we the taxpayers for grazing their cattle on our land.

The confrontation was settled with little violence.

Later in 2016, a large group of peaceful individuals from across the country protested laying an oil pipeline under the Missouri river that had the potential to pollute the water supply of millions of people.

They were met with attack dogs, security forces on horseback, water cannons, rubber bullets and other missiles.

There has to be something wrong with our culture when observing these contradictory responses.
