Athlete Showcase: Brandywine’s Kaci Lintz

Kaci Lintz is a senior on the Brandywine wrestling team.

 

What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

KL: Making it to regional my freshman and junior years.

 

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

KL: Not making it to state yet.

 

What has been a hardship in your life?

KL: Moving from house to house every year.

 

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

KL: My mom. She does everything and more for me.

 

When are you the most nervous while you are

competing?

KL: Right before a match.

 

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

KL: When I was running on the mat and tripped.

 

How do you tend to work out/train when by yourself?

KL: I listen to music.

 

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

KL: Basketball.

 

Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?

KL: It shapes you into a responsible student-athlete.

 

How would you give away $50,000?

KL: I would give it to local charities.

 

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

KL: The Chicago Bears.

 

If I did not play sports, I would…?

KL: Be a coach potato.

 

What is the most

challenging thing

for you to do in your sport?

KL: Staying positive even when I lose.

 

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

KL: Locking hands.

 

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

KL: “I really hope you make it to state.”

 

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

KL: Chose between baseball and wrestling in college. I am glad I did it.

 

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

KL: Walk away from trouble because they had sports.

 

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

KL: Fishing. It is super relaxing.
