Hazardous weather warning issued through Sunday

Monday’s dusting of snow appears to be a precursor to a weeklong spell of lake effect snow expected to hit southwest Michigan this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook in Berrien and Cass Counties starting Tuesday through Sunday.
The roads are expected to be icy throughout the week.
Tuesday, there is a 20 percent chance of snow before 9 p.m., with winds anticipated to be between 10 and 15 mph. Temperatures are predicted to be in the 20s. Winds could reach up to 20 mph on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, a 40 percent chance of snow is expected between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Winds are anticipated to be between 5 and 15 mph and could reach as high as 20 mph. The temperature will be around 19 degrees.
Thursday there is a 30 percent chance of snow after 3 a.m., with the temperature around 25 degrees.
On Friday, snow is likely before 3 p.m., followed by rain. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 43 degrees. Rain will then be likely before 9 p.m., with a low temperature of 32.
The weekend is expected to be mostly sunny, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 45 degrees.
