MSUE hosting pesticide workshop March 15

A restricted use pesticide workshop intended for private and commercial applicators will take place Wednesday, March 15, at the Southwest Michigan Research Extension and Research Center, located at 1791 Hillandale Road, Benton Harbor.
Registration and refreshments begin at 8 a.m. The pest management review will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The pesticide applicator core manual is available online for purchase for $30 plus tax at the MSU Extension Bookstore, located at shop.msu.edu/category_s/345.htm. A fee of $25 covers the review session given by Michigan State University Extension staff.
Fee can be paid in advance by cash or by check payable to MSU. To register, call the Berrien County MSU Extension office at (269) 927-5674 by March 10.
An open exam period is scheduled in which all private and commercial exams will be administered by Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development staff at 12:30 p.m. MDARD procedures require that applicants pay a separate exam fee ($50 for private, $75 for commercial) by check or money order (cash will not be accepted) at the exam site.
Identification and renewal notices (for recertification exams) are also needed in order to take the test. No exams will be given after 2 p.m.
