FFA team to compete at regionals

On Feb. 16, the Niles FFA chapter of the Greenhand Conduct of Meetings team will compete at the regional contests after earning gold at the District FFA Leadership Contests on Feb. 2 at the Van Buren Technology Center.
Contests test team members’ ability to conduct meetings effectively according to correct parliamentary procedure and to improve the leadership skills of members.
The Greenhand Conduct of Meetings team members are Emma Rauch, Aubrey Allen, Caitlin Young, Ally Crites, Willow Brawley, Jackson Lyden, Alexis Stump, Danny Bates and Justin Rogers. FFA advisor, Carrie George, coaches the team.
Also competing and receiving a silver award was the demonstration team, consisting of Hannah McKenzie and Adam Rasmussen.
The National FFA Organization is a national youth organization of 523,309 student members — all preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.
