GRAND RAPIDS — The four newspapers produced by Leader Publications were recently honored by the Michigan Press Association with six awards highlighting outstanding journalism.

The Leader Publications staff received awards for news coverage, news presentation, special sections and column writing.

“I am so proud of our talented staff of reporters and all the hard work they have put in,” said Ambrosia Neldon, general manager of the newspaper group. “Our entire staff is wholeheartedly dedicated to the communities they serve and we continue to adapt and grow to best fit the needs of our readers.”

Neldon said although the awards are presented to newsroom staff, she feels the entire Leader Publications team is deserving of recognition.

“Without each member of our talented staff, the advertisers and the communities that support us, we would not be able to share the important stories we share,” she said.
