Michiana Escapes opens second escape room at Tippecanoe Place

SOUTH BEND — Michiana Escapes will open second “room of adventure” at Tippecanoe Place in South Bend.
The company’s first escape room “Studebaker Scandal” opened in July will remain open. The second room “Hunt for the Holy Grail” opens today.
Unlike the first room, where participants are searching for the key to get out of a locked room, in “Hunt for the Holy Grail,” participants are racing against the clock to find the legendary Holy Grail.
“The idea is that your team has been recruited by a secret society that protects the Grail,” said Matt Herm, owner of Michiana Escapes. “The Grail is in danger and you need to solve puzzles to retrieve it from its hiding place before the hour is up.”
The challenge scenario is that Leonardo DaVinci played a major role in a secret society that exists solely to protect the Holy Grail. DaVinci and his accomplices set up challenges to thwart unwelcome hunters. The attraction is located in Tippecanoe Place Restaurant, so visitors may enjoy a meal or drinks before or after their reservation time.
The first of its kind in the area, Michiana Escapes is part of a national trend of exciting escape room venues. Good for parties, team building efforts or simply a fun night out, escape rooms appeal to a wide variety of people and are suitable for a wide range of ages.
Michiana Escapes is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. Reservations are required. To see available times and make a reservation, visit the company’s website, michianaescapes.com. For special requests, call (269) 262-4389.
Tippecanoe Place Restaurant is located at 620 W. Washington St., South Bend.
