Mr./Miss Cassopolis Pageant Sunday

A trio of young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Cassopolis 2017 at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School Sunday.

Jami Suseland, Madison Brooks and Noelle Kraus will contend for Miss Cassopolis in the pageant, which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Kalebb Butrick is the lone Mr. Cassopolis contestant.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. They can be purchased from any of the four contestants as well as by calling or texting pageant chairman Sue Horstmann at (269) 358-4324.

The theme of this year’s pageant is Beyond the Blue: The Little Mermaid.

“The 2016 Miss Cassopolis court, Miss Cassopolis Stacey Horstmann, Mr. Cassopolis Kwesi Huffman, first runner-up and Miss Congenelity Alley Anderson and second runner-up Kaylyn Forrest will be crowning the new Court of Royalty,” Horstmann said.

Suseland is a senior at Cassopolis High School and is the daughter of James and Pearl Suseland of Vandalia. She is excited about the opportunity to represent the community she has been raised in.

Brooks is a senior at Cassopolis High School and is the daughter of Raymond and Allison Brooks of Cassopolis. She looks forward to representing Cassopolis so she can give back to her community.

Kraus is a senior at Edwardsburg High School and is the daughter of Nicholas and Lisa Kraus of Cassopolis. She has been excited to participate in this pageant since she was a little girl.

Butrick is a senior at Cassopolis High School and is the son of Amy Burns of Cassopolis and James Butrick of Edwardsburg. Butrick enjoys volunteering and said he will enjoy representing Cassopolis.

Mr. and Miss Cassopolis will move on to compete in Blossomtime, which will be at the Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College in March.
