Portage Northern pulls away late against Vikings

PORTAGE — Visiting Niles was outscored 43-21 in the second half as Portage Northern pulled away to a 59-43 SMAC West Division victory Friday night.
The Vikings trailed 26-22 at halftime and 37-33 after three quarters.
The Huskies (2-0, 1-0 West) outscored Niles (0-2, 0-1 West) 22-10 in the final eight minutes.
Bryce Lake and Jake Hamm both scored nine points to lead the Vikings.
