Breannan Love is a junior on the Niles volleyball team.

 

What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

BL: Breaking the school record this year.

 

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

BL: Losing games we should have won.

 

What has been a hardship in your life?

BL: Spraining my ankle at practice a day before the second round of districts.

 

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

BL: My mom is my hero because she supports me in anything I do and I can always count on her.

 

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

BL: I’m always nervous when I serve game point or pass the game point ball.

 

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

BL: At a game this year I free balled the ball straight into the net.

 

How do you tend to work out/train when by yourself?

BL: I listen to music and get to work.

 

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

BL: I would want to compete in softball.

 

Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?

BL: I think when you get a great team, those teammates become your family and it’s great to have so much support and love from other people.

 

How would you give away $50,000?

BL: I would give some money to homeless shelters and to the kid’s hospitals.

 

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

BL: I would coach the swim team.

 

If I did not play sports, I would…?

BL: If I did not play sports I would probably take so many more naps and hangout with my friends.

 

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

BL: The most challenging thing for me is when the block is late and you have to read the gutter because it’s not my job to get that ball up.

 

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

BL: Defiantly the “net rule.” You should be able to touch the net whenever you want.

 

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

BL: “Wow, you get every ball!”

 

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

BL: A scary thing I had to do was pick between volleyball and softball. It was hard because I love both.

 

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

BL: I saw someone confront someone at school about being mean and it made me happy.

 

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

BL: My favorite hobby is watching movies and going on adventures.
