Dowagiac landed a pair of runners on the All-Wolverine Conference cross country team, which was released Thursday.

Freshman Shawn Little, who finished 67th at the MHSAA state meet Saturday, and senior Kaleb Detwiler were all-conference selections, which is based on your finish at the conference meet, which was won by league champion Otsego.

Little ran 16:56 and Detwiler 18:22 to finish fifth and 20th respectively.

Edwardsburg’s Brock Eaves was also all-conference as he was 13th overall with a time of 17:49.

The Eddies had three runners earn all-conference at the girls race hosted at Paw Paw.

Sophia Mick finished 13th, Cameron Cleveland 15th and Kara Shrider 16th with times of 20:45, 21:02 and 21:22 respectively.

Edwardsburg finished second at the conference meet and second in the overall standings.

Otsego was the conference champions once again. The Bulldogs also claimed a second straight Division 2 state championship at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.

Otsego’s Steve Long was named Wolverine Conference Coach of the Year for both boys and girls.
