The victim impact statement expressed deep hurt and pain in regards to Holmes’ actions.

“This is deplorable. You robbed the victim of her childhood,” Pasula said. “She was the prey and you were the predator.”

Pasula said Holmes’ record showed that he has a penchant for repeated behavior.

Holmes has been to jail nine times and prison twice, according to Pasula.

Holmes was reported to have claimed that he thought the victim was of age. They were also reported to have hung out frequently.

Pasula said according to the victim, she had told Holmes her real age.

Holmes did not respond when she asked if he had anything to say on his behalf.
