The 11th annual Trek or Treat on McCoy’s Creek Trail in Buchanan was expected to draw 800 to 1,000 people to dress up and get candy as they traversed the trail Saturday, according to Trek or Treat organizer Wayne Writer, who is member of the Friends of McCoy’s Creek Trail Committee.
“It’s a fun way to do something for the community,” Writer said.
There were at least 20 different stops along the trail where people could get candy.
Writer said the organization received a huge donation of candy this year from the community. Additionally he said many stepped up to volunteer.
