Herman best candidate for district court judge

In the upcoming election I feel that the opening for district court judge is the most important issue on the ballot.
I believe that Mark Herman is the best candidate for the upcoming election for District Court Judge. He has lived and served as a lawyer in our area for 34 years. He has worked closely with many different people and served on many committees, including working with the Cass County Probate Court, the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, Cassopolis Village. He also works with the youth of Cass County. He is a dedicated civil servant who I believe will continue the good work of Judge Dodge as an unbiased and fair judge. I also believe he will support ongoing programs initiated by Judge Dodge such as the drug treatment courts which have an 80% success rate in our county.
His opponent Scott Teeter has always been a prosecuting attorney, which I feel may inhibit his ability to be unbiased. He has not supported our county and in fact is proud of his involvement in the senseless loss of lives at Rainbow Farms. The only time we have heard from him since 2003 is when he ran for judge in 2008 and
nothing until a new judgeship has opened up.
I urge you to compare the two candidates. Mark’s work history and community dedication make him the best man for the job. Experience and commitment matter, please vote for Mark Herman on Nov. 8.
