Missing Vandalia woman found

Ramona June Huffman, of Vandalia, who was reported as missing to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend was located.

According to Sheriff’s Office Detective Beth Davis, Huffman left of her own free will and is not in any danger.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a missing person complaint at approximately 2 a.m. Oct. 12 from the Village of Vandalia.

Huffman, 48, voluntarily left her home in Vandalia to walk to the local gas station around the corner from her home according sheriff’s deputies at approximately 9:10 p.m. Oct. 11.

Her family attempted to locate her for several hours before calling the Cass County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

Deputies activated numerous tools in an attempt to find Huffman, including vehicles, K-9s and a drone without success.
