Kincheloe PTO making a difference

“A single, ordinary person still can make a difference — and single, ordinary people are doing precisely that every day.” — Chris Bohjalian, Vermont-based author and speaker.

The Kincheloe Elementary Parent Teacher Organization makes a difference to Kincheloe students.  Everyone has the opportunity to create positive change.  You may think you’re too busy to make a difference, but the parents at Kincheloe work together to make change for students.

The PTO meets once a month to organize activities and share information.  Parents are invited to each meeting, but we realize that not everyone can attend.

Families can still be involved in the activities as nearly all activities involve volunteers to make them successful.  Perhaps you cannot attend the entire activity, but you could donate cookies, or other items, as requested.

Teachers and staff are involved with the PTO as well.  They volunteer their time and provide cookies and other items.

Fundraising opportunities are hosted a couple of times a year. Proceeds from these sales allow the PTO to support many activities, such as field trips, assemblies, classroom supplies and incentives, and social activities for all students.

The PTO also assists with other special classroom projects throughout the school year, like the Backpack Program that allows students in need to take home a backpack of food for the weekend.

The Kincheloe PTO is very active and encourages all parents and grandparents to participate in all of their activities.
