Nick Shelton should be our next mayor.
In the past two years that I’ve known Nick I have probably been in more conversations about Niles politics and policies than I have in my past 40 years.
He cares, he questions, he listens and when given the chance to be mayor, I have no doubt he will act.
Niles is in need of young entrepreneurs and businesses. There has been a huge boom in self-employment since 2008 and it continues to grow as society realizes that shopping/spending locally is the way to go. What better way to attract entrepreneurs and small businesses than to show everyone that Niles will, with open arms, accept this surge in entrepreneurial spirit and to have a local businessman whose family has been running a successful business in Niles for many years be our front man?
As a local business owner myself, I can say that I would have no reservations about casting my vote for Nick Shelton for mayor and I look forward to the growth of downtown that will come with his tenure.
