Please accept my strong endorsement of Scott Teter for Cass County Circuit Judge.
The position of Circuit Court Judge is of central importance when it comes to justice and public protection.
In announcing this support, I draw upon my 33 years of prosecution experience, including service for the past 12 years as the elected prosecutor in Cass County.
I have known Scott for many years and am confident that he has a heart for serving the people of Cass County. He has a superior understanding of the law and possesses an intense dedication to our community.
Over the past decade, I have worked with Scott on repeated occasions to insure that criminals are brought to justice and that the rights and safety of victims are ensured. His crime fighting efforts in the Attorney General’s Office have proven to be a valuable resource for my office. They have also earned Scott a stellar reputation as a Michigan crime-fighter. This has been particularly true in the fight against Elder Abuse and Financial Exploitation. This experience will serve our citizens well on the Bench.
I am also familiar with Scott’s successful efforts as Cass County Prosecutor from 1997-2003.
He helped to put real teeth into existing law and created our county’s Felony Non-Support Prosecution Program. His commitment to consistent enforcement action brought in over a million dollars – all to the benefit of deserving moms and children. And when it came to crimes of violence, such as the chilling Hilltop Laundry Murder, Scott was on the front lines insuring that justice prevailed.
Scott Teter will bring his love of Cass County and his commitment to justice to our Circuit Court bench.
