Where is Fred Upton, the people’s representative?

When I voice a concern to Rep. Fred Upton’s aides I do receive a letter regarding said issue, but the response seems to be a generally topical essay without actually addressing my specific question.

I am left with a feeling of frustration each time because it’s always a non-response response.

I have been waiting for Upton to repudiate the misogyny, sexism, xenophobia, and all other spewed hatred and lies of GOP Presidential Nominee Donald Trump. Why is  Upton not wondering about the lawsuits, the unfair labor practices, the bankruptcies, the attachment to Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin and the incitement to assault delivered to the public?

Does Upton align himself with Trump?  Is that it?

I was looking forward, then, to his debate with Professor Paul Clements, an expert in the proper functioning of advanced nations, who has studied, been a consultant, and taught most recently at Western Michigan University so near us in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This is a person who has seen how our Republican-led government has failed us in America and, in particular, here in southwestern Michigan.

Upton’s response has been that his schedule won’t allow a public debate.

Really? He works approximately 120 days a year.

How is a scheduling issue possible? Don’t we deserve some of his time to alleviate our concerns directly?

At the very least we should be given Upton’s voice alongside that of his challenger, Paul Clements. At the very least.
