The inside of the Dowagiac Conservation Club lodge was packed as the 2016-17 Celebration Graduation committee hosted its trivia night contest Saturday night. Around 140 parents and community members came out for a night of eating, drinking and fun, answering questions about old TV shows, Dowagiac sports and other categories.

The event raised more than $5,000 in total for this year’s Celebration Graduation program, which will sponsor a massive trip for seniors in the Class of 2017 on their graduation night. Organizers host another fundraiser, Drive One 4 UR School, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at C. Wimberley Ford in Dowagiac, as well as a reverse raffle at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Dowagiac Conservation Club.
