One adult, three juveniles charged in connection with Ross Beatty vandalism

One adult and three juveniles have been charged in connection with the July 12 break in at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School.

Tristan Reynolds, of Woodland Street in Cassopolis, was charged with larceny in a building according to the Cass County Prosecutor’s office.

Reynolds did not appear for his preliminary hearing Wednesday.

However his attorney Frank Magyar did appear and said he believes his client was confused and believed he was to
appear today.

Instead of issuing a bench warrant, the hearing was rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.

Three juveniles were also charged and their court dates have been set.

McCaslin, who will appear in court Sept. 6, was charged with larceny in a building.

Two of the juveniles appeared in court Sept. 1. They were both charged with breaking and entering.

The third, which is scheduled to appear in court date is Sept. 6, was charged with malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000, as well as larceny in a building.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office used social media to help identify the vandals who did approximately $5,000 in damage at Ross Beatty between 12:30 and 2 a.m.

The vandals damaged IT equipment, fiber optic lines and the school’s server.
