I have been friends with Nick for almost 20 years.

He has always strived to be a leader. He would plan out many camp outs when we were younger and has been the best man for several of our friends’ weddings over the past few years. He puts a lot of thought-out detail into his plans and they come out better than we can hope for.

If you ever met Nick he is a charming human being with a great sense of humor. He was brought up to treat people with dignity and respect, which is a practice that continues in his position at Shelton Farms where he has been working at since the age of five.

Nick has been a life long resident of Niles. His ambition, listening to the community, and drive for nothing but the best is always what he brings to the table.

He is one of the smartest individuals I’ve ever known and he surrounds himself with great friends and caring people. He thinks outside the box and has the courage to move forward with ideas that he wants to see work for the betterment of his town.

I volunteer for Nick not only because he is my friend but because I do believe in what he is capable of doing. He has proved it many times.

A vote for Nick Shelton on Nov. 8 is a vote for a better Niles.

It’s a new opportunity to improve the city in ways we only dream about. The choice is simply we can have a career politician do the same old thing or we can have a businessman with a fresh perspective take the lead.

I hope the voters give Nick the chance to show what he can do for us.
