Was scores four goals at Trinity defeats Brandywine 8-1

John Was scored four goals and had an assist as visiting South Bend Trinity defeated Brandywine 8-1 in non-league soccer Tuesday.

Was scored the final goal of the first half, which Trinity led 5-1.

He scored all four goals in the second half.

Ben Tomas-Morgan had two goals and two assists for Trinity, which also got goals from Aiden Couch and Will Kane.

The Bobcats (0-3) averted the shutout when Brady Duval scored in the 32nd minute off an assist from Juventio Segundo.

Brandywine is back in action Wednesday when it travels to New Buffalo for a BCS Athletic Conference match.
