KALAMAZOO — Edwardsburg volleyball captured the Kalamazoo Hackett Early Bird by defeating Coloma in the championship match in three sets Saturday.

The Eddies advanced to the finals by splitting with Galesburg-Augusta, Kalamazoo Loy Norrix before defeating Kalamazoo Christian and Brandywine.

In the semifinals Edwardsburg defeated Loy Norrix 25-9, 23-25 and 15-7.

The Eddies beat the Comets 25-13, 21-25 and 15-11 to claim the championship.

Brandywine went 0-1-1 on the day.

The Bobcats split with Hackett and lost to White Pigeon, Coloma and Edwardsburg.
