Punt, Pass & Kick winners announced

Niles’ Zachary Bartz was the winner of the National Football League Punt, Pass & Kick competition held at the Edwardsburg Sports Complex Saturday.

Bartz won the 12-13 boys division with a total score of 249-feet-2 inches. The total is the combination of distances for his punt, pass and kick.
There was only one competitor in the girls 10-11 division.
Mariah McGrath of Edwardsburg advanced to the sectional, which will be held in October at a site to be determined. She finished with a total of 129-feet.
Collin Tefft of Edwardsburg was the winner of the boys 6-7 division with a total distance of 75-feet-4 inches.
Matthew Anders of Edwardsburg won the boys 8-9 division with a total distance of 114-feet-8, while Colten Pieper of Fort Wayne, Indiana finished a total distance of 214-feet-7 inches to win the boys 10-11 division.
The winners will be announced between the first and second quarters of the Edwardsburg varsity football home season opener against Allegan.
The is set to kick off at 7 p.m.
