LMC announces spring president’s, Dean’s Lists

BENTON TOWNSHIP — Lake Michigan College has announced the names of 707 students recognized for academic achievement during the spring 2016 semester.

The president’s list includes 86 students who achieved a 4.0 GPA at full-time status. The dean’s list includes 123 full-time students and 498 part-time students who achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher. There were 3,811 total students enrolled during the spring semester.

Western Michigan University lists spring graduates

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University has recently released a list of students who graduated during the 2016 spring semester.

WMU students officially graduate at the end of the university’s four academic terms. These terms, and the month in which they usually end, are: fall semester, December; spring semester, April; summer I session, June; and summer II session, August. The university conducts formal commencement ceremonies for all but summer II session graduates, who have the option of participating in the June commencement ceremonies.

The University’s 2016 spring session exercises took place April 30. The next formal commencement, the 2016 summer semester exercises, will take place Saturday, June 25.

Grand Valley State University announces winter Dean’s List

ALLENDALE, Mich. — Grand Valley State University announces the names of students who were placed on the dean’s list for the Winter 2016 semester concluding in April. The list includes those students who have maintained a 3.5 grade point average and been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits. The honor is noted on the students’ official records.

Grand Valley is dedicated to providing a rich learning environment for students, offering a wide range of majors and hands-on research opportunities. Highly credentialed and responsive faculty and individual advisors and mentors promote a liberal arts emphasis that teaches students critical thinking and problem solving skills.
