Warm, but sunny weather greeted the golfers in the 12th annual Lee Memorial Golf Outing at Spruce Ridge Golf Club Friday.

A field of 33 teams hit the links to help raise money for the Borgess-Lee Memorial Foundation.

The funds raised from this year’s outing will go to support patient care equipment in the areas of women’s health, radiology and cardiac rehabilitation.

“The day turned out great for our 12th annual Lee Memorial Golf Outing,” Lee Memorial Foundation’s Beth Cripe said. “Fortunately the weather cooperated and the forecasted rain held off.  We had 33 teams and 50 sponsors for this year’s event. We (Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital and Lee Memorial Foundation) have been so fortunate to have the great support of so many in this community.”

“Last year’s (outing) raised over $14,000 so we are hoping to reach or exceed that goal again this year,” Cripe said.

The Fifth Third Bank team of Jeremy Truitt, Richie Burling, Ryan Mitchell and Ryan Walding took first place..

Arnt Asphalt Sealing, Inc. was the runner-up.

Winners of the longest drive for females and males over 60 were Robin Peters and Steve Wells.

Longest drive winners for female and males were Sandy Pratt and Jacob Ramirez.

Closest to the pin winners were Terrie Foster and Brent Nate.
