Bobcats, Bucks each land three on All-Red Division

The Brandywine Bobcats and Buchanan  Bucks each had three players named first team on the All-BCS Red Division team, which was released last week.

For the Bobcats, Michaela and Makenna Hartline were joined by Sydney Carlson.

Jade Mosier, Emma Schmidt and Sammi Luzadre were the Buchanan selections.

Division champion Bridgman also had three first team players selected.

Breanna Riggenbach was named the division’s most valuable player.

Grace Polomcak of Brandywine, as well as Ali Kyle and Ericka Donathen were all honorable mention picks.

Makenna Hartline hit .554 with 13 doubles, four triples, 13 home runs and 42 RBIs. Michaela Hartline hit .450 with 15 doubles, a triple, five home runs and 41 RBIs.

Carlson hit .424 with a double, five triples and 25 RBIs.

The Hartlines and Carlson were also named Division 3 All-District.

Schmidt hit .486 with five doubles, two triples and 15 RBIs. Mosier hit .387 with 10 doubles, three triples, a home run and 29 RBIs.

Luzadre hit .426 with 10 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 45 RBIs.
