Edwardsburg advanced five players and Dowagiac three to the Division 2 Regional Softball Team, which was released earlier this week.

The Eddies had Kailee Claire, Savannah Dixon, Layne Stinnett, Ali Strycker and Hannah Shoupe named to the squad, which is the second step in the all-state selection process.

Dowagiac’s all-regional players were Marissa Dodd, Taylor Hulett and Megan Soderbloom.

Dowagiac was also honored with one of the four sportsmanship honors.

The Division 2 All-State team will be selected after this weekend’s state finals at Michigan State University.
