BRIDGMAN — Mistakes proved to be the undoing of the Brandywine softball team in the Division 3 regional semifinals against Grandville Calvin Christian Saturday in Bridgman.

The Bobcats committed five errors and gave up five unearned runs in a 5-2 loss to Calvin Christian.

Brandywine (17-18) got a solid pitching performance from Morgan Crocker, who did not give up an earned run, scattered seven hits and struck out four.

The Bobcats, who railed 2-0 after one inning and 5-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth, finished with six hits, led by Makenna Hartline who was 2-for-4 with a double.
