Wolverine Conference champion Vicksburg and runner-up Edwardsburg combined to land seven players on the first team of the all-league squad, which was released Monday.

Ali Strycker, Layne Stinnett and Kailee Claire were first team selections for the Eddies.

Stycker hit 4.86 with four doubles, a triple and 22 RBIs. In the circle she was 18-3 with and ERA of 1.065. She struck out 141 batters in 118.1 innings pitched.

Stinnett hit .495 with 12 doubles, 12 home runs and 56 RBIs. Her 12 home runs breaks the school record she previously set.

Claire hit .453 with nine doubles and 25 RBIs.

Dowagiac, which finished fourth in the final standings, had two players named to the first team, Megan Soderbloom and Taylor Hulett.

Soderbloom hit .531 with a school record eight home runs and 53 RBIs. When pitching, Soderbloom was 9-2 with an ERA of 3.316. She struck out 88 in 63 innings pitched.

Hulett was 20-6 with an ERA of 1.703 in the circle for the Chieftains. She struck out 180 batters in 135 innings. In the circle she was 20-6 with an ERA of 1.703. She struck out 180 batters in 135 innings.

Second team selections for Edwardsburg were Savannah Dixon, Kaylee Rycker and Michaela Ritschard.

Amiyah Smith and Marissa Dodd were second team picks for the Chieftains.

Vicksburg’s Paul Gephart was named Coach of the Year.
