Division 4: Rangers advance to district semifinals

DECATUR — The Cassopolis Rangers advanced to the Division 4 district semifinals in Decatur Saturday with an 11-1 win over White Pigeon Tuesday.

The Rangers scored single runs in the fist and sixth innings, three in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth to account for its scoring.

Nick Baker was 2-for-3 with four RBIs for the Rangers, Dillion Rickey drove in a pair of runs.

White Pigeon was its own worst enemy as it issued 10 walks, had two passed balls and five wild pitches in the pre-district contest.

The Rangers will face the host Raiders in the opening semifinal at 10 a.m. Saturday.
