PAW PAW — Dowagiac and Buchanan both failed to advance to next week’s state golf finals after finishing well back in the pack at the Division 3 regional at Lake Cora Hills near Paw Paw Wednesday.

Schoolcraft edged Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian by four strokes (324-328) to win the regional championship. Portland was third at 335.

Dowagiac finished sixth with a 360 and Buchanan 11th with a 393.

Brandywine’s Jordan Mickiewicz also failed to qualify as an individual after shooting a 98.

The top three teams and top three individual advance to the state finals to be held at Forest Akers East on the campus of Michigan State University.
