Bonnie M. (Knight) Williamson-Booth, 76, of Dowagiac passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at her home with love ones by her side. After a courageous battle with leukemia.

She was born March 28, 1940, to the late Robert and Doris (Gross) Knight at Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph, Michigan. Bonnie attended school in Dowagiac and graduated from Watervliet High School in 1958. Bonnie married Rolland Joseph Williamson of Watervliet on Aug. 13, 1960, in St Joseph, and had three children.

Bonnie lived in many places across the Midwest throughout her life but always thought of Dowagiac as home. She lived life to the fullest by raising three children, Bonnie loved gardening, cooking and baking. At 16 she won the county-wide Annual Cherry Pie Baking Contest. She owned and operated The Left Bank Clothing Store in Dowagiac for ten years. Afterwards she worked at Caruso’s Candy & Soda Shop in Dowagiac. One of Bonnie’s greatest joy was raising her grand-daughter Lindsey, Bonnie was able to adopt Lindsey before her passing.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and husband Joseph of 23 years as well as her second husband, Al Booth of Dowagiac.

She is survived by her children Brian (Kim) Williamson of Indiana, Robert (Terrie) Williamson of Indiana, and Roxanne Williamson of Indiana. Ten grandchildren Megan, Ryan, Cody, Brooke, Zachery, Brock, Rodney, Eric, Anthony and Lindsey and eleven great-grandchildren. Siblings Bobbi (Ron) Guertel of St. Joseph, Barbara Richcreek of Watervliet, and David (Kathy) Knight of St. Joseph.

Per Bonnie’s wishes a private service will be held at a later date at North Shore Memory Gardens. Elkhart Cremation Service is entrusted with arrangements.
