What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

KW: Winning team districts last year.

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

KW: Not winning conference this year vs. Allegan.

What has been a hardship in your life?

KW: Being small.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

KW: My dad, because he pushes me to work harder every day.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

KW: When the ref blows the whistle at the beginning of a match.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

KW: Not making it out of individual districts last year.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

KW: Push-ups and sit-ups and going on jogs at home.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

KW: Basketball.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

KW: My mom, because she supports me with what I do.

How would you give away $50,000?

KW: I would put it toward the wrestling room at our school.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

KW: The wrestling team.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

KW: Find a job.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

KW: All of the conditioning we do to get ready for the year.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

KW: Locked hands in wrestling.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

KW: You’re a great wrestler.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

KW: Bump up a weight class for the team. Yes, because it was an experience and it made me better.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

KW: My friend Mike get off his back in a match.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

KW: Wrestling, because it’s a tough sport to do and I like to push myself harder every day to get better.
