Gatson, Saxton combine for 56 in Rangers’ victory

Deion Gatson and Bryce Saxton combined for 56 of Cassopolis’ 91 points in a route of visiting Bronson Friday night.

Saxton poured in a game-high 34 points, while Gatson added 23 points for the Rangers, who improved to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in the BCS Athletic Conference Blue Division.

Cassopolis led 22-15 after one quarter, but was outscored 24-17 in the second quarter as Bronson (1-6, 1-4 Blue) tied the score at 39-39 at the intermission.

The Rangers took a 64-55 lead into the fourth quarter and pulled away from the Vikings for the victory.

Matthew Pittman added 13 points for Cassopolis.

Noah Roberts led Bronson with 13 points, which also got 11 points from Jonah Klinger.
