Cassopolis Public School recently launched its new website design and district say they are pleased with the way it turned out.

The website is designed to be more user friendly and will be used to provide up-to-date information about the district to its students and parents.

“It has been very helpful,” Cassopolis Superintendent Tracy Hertsel said. “We have Jeremy Carlisle on board now and he has been updating it. It was nice to see today (Tuesday) a message about the school being closed.

“But there are so many more facets coming together. We are still tweaking it, but it is really nice and we will be going with a mobile app shortly.”

Hertsel said the addition of Carlisle as the district’s grants and project coordinator allows them to keep the website more current and that it had been “a challenge” in the past to do so.

The mobile application will have much of the same information that can be found on the new website, which was designed by SharpSchool Education Web Hosting & Content Management Solutions.

“It should be very similar,” Hertsel said. “But will have all the same information with it. It will be just another tool to reach our students and parents.”

Users will be able to not only find out information for the different school buildings, but district-wide information, school policies, information on the board of education and calendars for both academics and athletics.
