Irene Opal Fisk, age 95, of Elkhart, died peacefully Sunday morning, Jan. 3, 2016, in her residence in the presence of her family.

She was born June 7, 1920, in Atkinson, Nebraska, to LeRoy and Laura Ann (Bausch) Parshall, the eldest daughter of thirteen children. She married Floyd Edward Fisk June 5, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death Jan. 16, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sharon Marie Fisk; and nine siblings.

Irene and her husband, Floyd, served five years as Missionaries in India for the Wesleyan Methodist Church from 1942 until 1947.

Irene will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Reese of Elkhart; her son and daughter in law, John and Suzanne Fisk of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Jessica Ann Hunt of Findlay Ohio, Jennifer Spitnale of Elkhart, Michael Spitnale (fiance’ Ellen Black) of Lexington, Kentucky; six great grandchildren, Natasha Stoner, Bo Hunt, Luke Hunt; Ethan Spitnale, Grant White, Maverick White; sisters, Betty Parshall Richardson of Sacramento, California, Rutha Jean Parshall Lampkin of Amarillo, Texas; brothers, Lloyd Parshall of Amarillo, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, from 11:30 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at noon in Findlay First Church of the Nazarene, 2501 Broad Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840.

Mrs. Fisk’s remains will be laid to rest between her beloved husband, Floyd Fisk, and daughter, Sharon, in McComb Cemetery in McComb, Ohio in a private family ceremony.
