Three honored for service for SMC board

Several Southwestern Michigan College employees received recognition from the college board of trustees during their meeting last week at the school’s Dowagiac campus.
Business Office Manager Judy Cripe received her 20-year service pin from Trustee William M. White. Cripe, who started as special federal programs accountant, has a Bethel College bachelor’s degree in organizational management. She was previously employed as Equity One assistant manager and The Title Office Inc. escrow officer.
Lead Admissions Advisor Kim Luthringer was presented a five-year service pin by Trustee Todd Obren. Luthringer started at SMC as a part-time outreach specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ferris State University and previously worked for Wolverine Mutual Insurance Co.
Coordinator for Institutional Research Nick Mustak accepted a five-year service pin from Trustee Dr. Heidi Grabemeyer-Layman. Mustak earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana University South Bend. He previously worked in Elkhart as Bennington Marine Group marketing analyst and Blacksmith Distributing receiving manager.
