Vikings edged Three Rivers in season opener

THREE RIVERS — Visiting Niles opened the 2015-16 boys basketball season with a hard-fought 47-43 win over Three Rivers Tuesday night.
The Vikings trailed the Wildcats 11-9 after one quarter, but outscored Three Rivers 38-32 over the final three periods to pick up the season-opening victory.
Tyler Phillips led Niles (1-0) with 15 points, while Gavin Rasler added 14 points.
Adam Reed scored a game-high 18 points for the Wildcats, who also got 10 points from Tyrell Hausmanis.
