Yoder crowned 2016 Miss Edwardsburg

Courtney Yoder, a freshman at Southwestern Michigan College, was crowned Miss Edwardsburg 2016 in the performing arts center at the Edwardsburg Middle School Saturday afternoon.
Yoder is the daughter of Jeff and Wendy Yoder.
First runner-up was Alexis Rosebush, daughter of Al and Lori Rosebush. Second runner-up was Kourtney Glaser, daughter of Jeff and Whitney Glass of Niles. Taylor Reifsnider, daughter of David Reifsnider and the late Patricia Reifsnider, and Elissia Snograss, daughter of April House, were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Yoder’s future ambition is to become a pharmacist.
“Being a pharmacist will allow me to connect to people in any community I am in, as well as, helping the community get better,” she said.
Sadie Kunze, daughter of Niki Vascil of Niles, was crowned Miss Teen Edwardsburg.
Kirra Halfman, daughter of Ron and Crystal Halfman, was crowned Pre-Teen, while Liliane Sherwood, daughter of Larry Sherwood and Lacey Peters of Niles, was crowned Princess.
Kerith Spake, daughter of Melissa Kendall and Try Spake, was first runner-up Teen, while Carlee Burger, daughter of Chad and Kim Burger of Niles, was second runner-up.
Chloe Westfall, daughter of Kristi Smith, was first runner-up Pre-Teen.
Jocelyn Christner, daughter of Damon and Marcy Christner of Niles, was first runner-up Princess, while Paige Swearinger, daughter of Chad and Kim Burger of Niles, was second runner-up.
Dylan Garris, son of Victoria Watkins of Niles, was crowned Prince.
First runner-up was Jaydan Garris and second runner-up was Cameron Westfall, son of Sasha and Thomas Westfall.
Each contestant was given a sash and a crown for participating in the Miss/Mr. Edwardsburg Youth Scholarship Pageant.
