Bobcats thump River Valley 62-0

THREE OAKS — Visiting Brandywine scored early and often as the Bobcats moved a step closer to another playoff berth with a 62-0 BCS Athletic Conference win over River Valley Friday night.
Brandywine (5-2) must win one of its final two games against Bridgman (6-1) and Buchanan (7-0) to earn an automatic playoff berth.
Both games will be at home for the Bobcats.
On Friday night, Brandywine amassed 457 yards in total offense, including 401 yards on the ground.
The Bobcats’ rushing attack was led by Brandon Hatch, who rushed for 146 yards on just six carries and scored a touchdown.
Jeshua Wiese finished with 74 yards on five carries and a touchdown, while Dalton Knapp added 48 yards on nine carries and a score.
Brandywine was 3-of-6 passing as Corbin Eckenberger threw for three touchdowns — one to Vinny Peel and two to Austin Knapp.
Ryan Buchar, Dylan Plew and Dustin Ward also scored for Brandywine.
Defensively, the Bobcats held the Mustangs (0-7) to 75 yards of total offense.
River Valley has now been shut out six times this season and been outscored by its opponents 323-14.
