PARCHMENT — The Dowagiac soccer team defeated Parchment 4-1 to win the Parchment Invitational Saturday.

The Chieftains reached the finals with a 3-2 win over Lake Michigan College in a shootout.

Gage Williams scored three goals in the win over the host Panthers, while he also had two goals against the Lakers.

“We moved the ball a lot better and were able to counter attack as a team,” Dowagiac coach Mike Williams said. “It was nice to finish the week with a couple good wins, well-deserved wins by the boys.”
