The Brandywine football team scored early and often against visiting LaLumiere in a 50-0 rout Thursday night.

The Bobcats (1-1) rolled up 371 yards in total offense, including 335 yards on the ground.

Jeshua Wiese had nearly half of those as he rushed for 153 yards and scored three touchdowns. Wiese has rushed for 281 yards in Brandywine’s first two games and scored four touchdowns.

Bobcat quarterback Vinny Peel got the offense rolling with a 7-yard run in the opening quarter.

Wiese scored the next two for Brandywine on runs of 33- and 1-yard. Peel then called his own number again, this time from 13 yards out and the Bobcats led 30-0 at halftime.

Wiese’s final touchdown, a 15-yard effort, was the lone touchdown of the third quarter.

Corbin Eckenberger and Ryan Buchar got on the scoreboard in the final quarter with runs of 3- and 11-yards.

Peel finished with 87 yards rushing and a pair of scores, while he was 2-of-3 passing for 36 yards.

The Brandywine defense held LaLumiere to just 90 yards of total offense and forced a pair of turnovers.

The Bobcats hit the road Friday night as they travel to St. Joseph to face Lake Michigan Catholic in a BCS Athletic Conference contest.
