KALAMAZOO — The Edwardsburg volleyball team reached the quarterfinals of the Kalamazoo Hackett Early Bird Invitational before falling to eventual champion Kalamazoo Christian Saturday.

The Eddies were 3-1 in pool play as they defeated White Pigeon (25-17, 25-20), Kalamazoo Hackett (25-19, 25-14), lost to Coloma (19-25, 20-25) and defeated Brandywine (25-13, 25-19).

In the quarterfinals, Kalamazoo Christian defeated Edwardsburg 25-22, 25-27 and 15-5.
